1. Who we are
This policy is issued by Safak Future Business - Joint Partnership (“Safak Future”, “Safak Group”, “we”, “us”), a company in the Sultanate of Oman. It explains what information we collect through the website safakgroup.om and through our application New Rent at www.sfbom.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Contact: info@safakgroup.om.
2. This website
- The website has no user accounts, no forms, no cookies, no analytics and no advertising.
- Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, time) to operate and protect the service. We do not use them to identify visitors.
- The page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when it delivers them.
- If you contact us by e-mail, phone or WhatsApp, we use what you send only to answer you and to provide the service you ask for.
3. The New Rent application
New Rent is our internal business application, used only by authorised Safak Future staff to run our car-rental operations. It is not offered to the public. It holds the business records needed for that purpose — for example customers, rental contracts, invoices, payments and vehicles — and processes them to perform rental contracts and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations in the Sultanate of Oman. Access is limited by staff accounts and roles.
4. Google user data
4.1 What New Rent accesses
When an authorised administrator chooses Connect Google Drive in New Rent's backup settings and approves Google's consent screen, New Rent requests these permissions:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file— to create a folder in that Google Drive and to upload, list, download and delete only the files and folders that New Rent itself created. With this permission New Rent cannot see, open or change any other file in the Google Drive.openidandhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email— to read the e-mail address of the connected Google account, so the settings page can show which account is connected.
New Rent does not request access to Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, Photos or any other Google service.
4.2 How New Rent uses it
- To upload the company's scheduled backups and copies of document attachments (such as contracts, invoices and vehicle papers) to the connected Google Drive.
- To list and download those same files when an administrator restores a backup, and to delete older backups the app created, according to the company's retention setting.
- To show the connected account's e-mail address in the settings page.
Google user data is used only to provide this backup feature. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or to develop, improve or train generalised artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
4.3 Storage and protection
- Google's authorisation (refresh) token is stored on our server in encrypted form and is used only by the server to reach Google's APIs.
- All traffic between New Rent, your browser and Google uses HTTPS (TLS).
- Backups can be encrypted before they are uploaded.
- Only authorised Safak Future administrators can connect, disconnect or use the Google Drive destination.
4.4 Sharing
We do not sell, rent, share or transfer Google user data to any third party. Our staff do not read it, except where the account owner asks us to (for example to restore a backup), where it is needed for security, or where the law requires it.
4.5 Retention and deletion
- The connected account's e-mail address and the encrypted token are kept only while Google Drive is connected.
- When an administrator chooses Disconnect, New Rent revokes the token with Google and deletes it from our server.
- The backup files stay in the company's own Google Drive, under its control, and can be deleted there at any time.
- Access can also be removed at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- To ask us to delete any data we hold, write to info@safakgroup.om.
5. Security
We protect information with access control by role, encrypted connections, encrypted storage of secrets, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
6. Your choices and rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, subject to the records we must keep by law (for example tax invoices). Write to info@safakgroup.om and we will reply within 30 days.
7. Children
Our website and services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes
If we change this policy we will publish the new version on this page and update the date above. If the change affects how New Rent uses Google user data, we will ask for consent again where required.
